Mediterranean meets Canada meets Pork makes for a delicious meeting

Ingredients
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
salt
pepper
1 cup apple juice
2 Tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1 Tablespoon butter
4 Boneless pork chops
1 small onion
2 Tablespoon Maple syrup
Preparation
Step 1
In a large heavy frying pan, heat 1 Tbsp butter and 1 Tbsp oil over medium-high heat.
Step 2
Add 4 boneless pork chops. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Cook the chops until cooked 4-8 minutes depending on thickness, turning once.
Step 4
While they cook, mince a small onion 1/2 cup
Step 5
Remove the chops and set them aside on a plate.
Step 6
Add the minced onion to the pan. Sauté briefly.
Step 7
Stir in 1 cup apple juice. Turn up the heat and boil for about 3 minutes, stirring.
Step 8
Add 2 Tbsp maple syrup and 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar. Turn down the heat and simmer for about 2 minutes.
